ABOUT

Jim and Debbie moved onto the property in the early 90s. Jim had built two fishing ponds for his children, which he eventually decided to open to the public. The locals loved it and thus Jim’s U-Fish was born. Debbie then had the idea to add farm animals to the property for families to enjoy as they visited, creating Old McDebbie’s Farm in the early 2000s. With growing support throughout the years, Jim and Debbie were able to expand and add to their farm to what it is today.

In 2019 Jim and Debbie decided it was time to retire. Their son Logan and his wife Megan took over the family business, now making it a 2nd generation farm. The 2020 season was Logan and Megan’s first official season operating which lead to many obstacles and learning curves along the way. However with both regulars and new faces continuing their support, Logan and Megan were able to keep working to maintain and update the farm for public visits.

At the farm you will not find animals in tiny dark cages or “trained” to perform in any way. The farm is the animals’ home which must be respected as such. Animals are not routinely held or picked up nor are they forced to do encounters. Goats are often free roaming the grounds to say hi and help kiddos with their fishing. Other animals are in their daily enclosures which visitors are able to walk up and interact with. The farm is very transparent with the care and well-being of their animals. Disrespect to any animal or their home is unacceptable. The farm gives families the opportunity to interact and learn about animals they may have never seen before, and hopes to continue this for years to come.
